Camp Good News is a summer camp for children aged 10 – 15 whose mother or father is in jail or prison. Camp Good News is a Christian camp, and includes spiritual activities of prayer, praise, worship and study, along with the more physical challenges of swimming, horseback riding, games, crafts, and skills growth. Camp Good News is located at Camp Allen, in Navasota, Texas. There is no cost to the parent or caregiver; however, participation is limited to 60 children who are accepted on a first come, first served basis.

Camp Good News at Camp Allen in Navasota Texas was created 2001. Children aged 10-15 who have a close family member incarcerated are eligible to attend at no cost to the family. Go to campallen.org/summercamps

The state of Texas requires an application which includes the immunization record of the child be attached. Your child’s school nurse or doctor will gladly supply the record at no cost. Children are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis so I encourage you to submit the paper work as soon as possible. If you have questions please call me and leave word or text.
Children sleep in air conditioned cabins holding eight campers and two well trained counselors of the same gender. A nurse is available 24 hours a day and administers medications as required by your doctor.
Check-in for camp is 4PM Sunday, August 1, 2021. Camp ends Friday following an 11:30 am lunch and program to which you are invited showing what the children have been doing during the week.
